Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1974. Παράλληλα με τις σπουδές του στο Ε.Μ.Π. ως Τοπογράφος Μηχανικός, σπούδασε κλασική κιθάρα, ανώτερα θεωρητικά, μουσική για το θέατρο και τον κινηματογράφο, jazz θεωρία και αυτοσχεδιασμό.

Έχει συνθέσει όπερα, ορχηστρική μουσική, μουσική δωματίου, τραγούδια καθώς και μουσική για το θέατρο, τον κινηματογράφο και τη διαφήμιση.

Από το 2003, κατά μεγάλα διαστήματα, υπήρξε συνεργάτης του Τρίτου Προγράμματος, των Μουσικών Συνόλων και της Γενικής Διεύθυνσης Ραδιοφωνίας της ΕΡΤ στη διαχείριση, τον σχεδιασμό  και τον  προγραμματισμό.  

Από τον Ιούλιο του 2020 έως τον Απρίλιο του 2022 διετέλεσε Διευθυντής των Μουσικών Συνόλων της ΕΡΤ που αποτελούνται από την Εθνική Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα, την Ορχήστρα Σύγχρονης Μουσικής και της Χορωδίας.

Από τις πιο πρόσφατες παρουσιάσεις έργων του είναι το συμφωνικό ποίημα για ορχήστρα ‘Παν ο Μέγας τέθνηκε’ {ΚΟΑ-2021}, τα μουσικά παραμύθια για αφηγητή και ορχήστρα  ‘Το Βασιλόπουλο και ο Δράκος’ , ‘Το Νερολούλουδο’, ‘Το Θαρραλέο Αγόρι και ο Δράκος του Πηγαδιού’, ‘Όνειρο με κόκκινο σκουφί’, ‘Το ξόρκι της Αποκριάς’  {Στέγη Iδρύματος Ωνάση – Καμεράτα / ΚΟΑ/ Ventus ensemble – 2013-2020}, το έργο για ορχήστρα και μέτζο σοπράνο ‘Η Επίσκεψη’ {Στέγη 2017, βασισμένο στον ομώνυμο πίνακα του Γ.Ρόρρη}, οι κύκλοι τραγουδιών ‘Ψεύτες Ήλιοι’, ‘Το Αγνό και το Ένα’ {Στέγη 2016-2017 – ποίηση W.Müller, H.Heine σε απόδοση Δ. Καψάλη} –όλα τα παραπάνω από ανάθεση του Ελληνικού Σχεδίου. Έγραψε επίσης μουσική για τον θεατρικό μονόλογο ‘Η Ριμάδα η ζωή’ {Φεστιβάλ Αθηνών 2016 – Μ. Μαυροματάκης, Γ.Κοροπούλης}.

Μετά από ανάθεση της Εθνικής Λυρικής Σκηνής συνέθεσε  την όπερα ‘Η Κερένια Κούκλα’, βασισμένη στο ομώνυμο μυθιστόρημα του Κωνσταντίνου Χρηστομάνου σε λιμπρέτο του Γιάννη Σβώλου, όπου έκανε πρεμιέρα τον Μάρτιο του 2019.

Έχουν εκδοθεί μεταξύ των άλλων ‘Η Ομορφιά που ανθίζει’, ‘Μέθοδος των τριών’ {εκδόσεις ύψιλον, σε κείμενα-μεταφράσεις του Γ. Κοροπούλη}, Να υποθέτω τη ματιά, Laceworks {μεταγραφές για κιθάρα, Κορίνα Βουγιούκα}.

Charismatic composer of the new generation. He composes works with different directions and quests, creating a puzzle that unifies them all. ''Music is, like Nature, a superset. It contains infinite combinations of meanings and does not have limited semiotic interpretations like the images used to accompany it.''

Along with his studies at E.M.P. National Technical University as a Topographic Engineer, Rosopoulos studied classical guitar, advanced theories, music for the theater and the cinema, jazz theory and improvisation.

His compositions include works for ensembles, string orchestra, opera, chamber music, songs. Furthermore, he has composed theatre, film, music for advertisements and he has done numerous orchestrations and arrangements for recordings, concerts, theatre and film productions.

From 2003 to 2015 he worked at the Greek National Radio and Television Organization as Radio Third Programme assistant manager, as Radio Orchestras consultant of artistic affairs, and as Radio Head program and production assistant manager. 

From July 2020 to April 2022, he was Director of the Musical Ensembles of ERT consisting of the National Symphony Orchestra, the Contemporary Music Orchestra and the Choir.

Among the most recent performances of his works are the symphonic poem for orchestra 'Pan o Megas tethnike' {KOA-2021}, the musical fairy tales for narrator and orchestra 'The King and the Dragon', 'The Neroloudo' (The waterflower), 'The Brave Boy and the Dragon of the Well', 'A Dream with a Red Cap', 'The Spell of Halloween' {Roof of the Onassis Foundation – Camerata / KOA/ Ventus ensemble – 2013-2020}, the work for orchestra and mezzo soprano 'The Visit' {Roof of 2017 , based on the painting of the same name by G. Rorris}, the song cycles 'False Suns', 'The Pure and the One' {Roof 2016-2017 – poetry W. Müller, H. Heine performed by D. Kapsalis} – all of the above commissioned by the Hellenic Plan. He also wrote music for the theatrical monologue 'I Rimada I zoi' {Athens Festival 2016 - M. Mavromatakis, G. Koropoulis}.

Upon commission by the Greek National Opera, he composed the opera 'I Kerenia Koukla', based on the novel of Konstantinos Christomanos, and libretto by Yiannis Svolos, where it premiered in March 2019.
