    • Born in Athens in 1958. He has a long presence as a musician in almost all kinds of music, mainly playing instruments of the string family in concerts, events, radio and TV productions, recordings. He holds a degree in English Literature (Department of English Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, National & Kapodistrian University of Athens). He holds a Diploma in Double Bass, a Diploma in Cello, a Diploma in Harmony, and has studied Byzantine and Eastern music.

He has been in Public Education as a teacher of English and Music since 1990. By ministerial decree he has been awarded specialisations in double bass and cello. From 2004 to 2011 he worked in Rhodes. Αmong his activities, a special place was given to the presentation of the double bass in concerts through works and compositions of classical, traditional, jazz repertoire, etc. During his service at the Rhodes Music School he founded the cello and double bass classes and the String Ensemble of the Music School, which was the nucleus around which he formed the European Music Orchestra with the creating of a symphony orchestra as ultimate goal. In addition to conducting, he undertook completely the editing of the repertoire with arrangements and adaptations of classical works and music of Greek composers. By common consent, the result, which was excellent for school standards, was unprecedented for the island of Rhodes and the South Aegean Region. Apart from the participation in concerts, events and presence in the local media, the orchestra representing the Music School of Rhodes won the first prize in the last Artistic - Music Games of the Ministry of Education (2009), while it has been awarded by the Region of South Aegean, the Municipality of Rhodes and other institutions. Students who participated in the ensemble have graduated from music departments of Greek universities and accompany orchestras in Greece and abroad.

As an orchestrator and principal double bassist he collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra of the Prefecture of Heraklion, Crete, in concerts and events during the period 2009-2011. From 2011 to 2015, he lived in Corfu, where:

      - as a professor of English he taught the subject "English for Musicians" as a guest of the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University,

      - as a double bassist, he was a member of :

·the Symphony Orchestra of the Philharmonic Society of Corfu (Old) under Alkis Baltas,

·the Orchestra of the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University,

        ·the Ionian Camerata,

participating in numerous events, degree examinations and productions in Corfu, at the Athens Concert Hall and the Odeon of Herodes the Atticus, at the Ionian Academy.

He writes music, makes arrangements, orchestrations and reconstructions of scores by ear. His involvement with the teaching of the double bass includes the newest methods of learning, especially the study and application of innovative concepts in finger positioning and the use of various tunings.

For more than four decades his parallel activity has been the construction of instruments; indicatively mentioned, he has constructed the first viola da gamba/bass viol in Greece.
He studies the unique, compared to the other symphonic strings, diversity of the double bass as by the numerous forms and shapes it took, according to the requirements of each era. And he closely follows the contemporary developments in the particular field of its construction.
