Crowdsourcing is a practice of voluntarily collecting information from a large and open group of individuals via the internet. It enables identified users to contribute to the collection of data. This community, leveraging its knowledge and experience, can aid in the development of content for any electronic platform focused on cultural material. In the case of the MELOS platform, this information forms the metadata of the collection and contributes to its enrichment.
The material will relate to the contents of the MELOS Collection and will include:
- biographical information and photographic material of musicians, composers and double bassists
- scores in various formats
- recordings and contributors information
- event programs and posters
Participation in the crowdsourcing community requires the mandatory submission of the following personal details. Files can be uploaded using the Choose Files option, while the material will be described in the Documentation field. The MELOS team will review the submitted data, and it will subsequently be incorporated into the collection.
