The Department of Music Science and Art of the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts of the University of Macedonia (UoM), participates in the project "Greek Music Audiovisual Collections (M.EL.O.S.)" with the "Greek Double Bass Archive" of Prof. Evgenios Politis, entitled "TAMO-PAMAK Local Music Ontology Repository".

Under the scientific supervision of Prof. Evgenios Politis, director (2018-2023) - member of the "Laboratory for Sound and Video Technologies (ARTS-Lab)", the research team of UoM was formed by the members of the "Critical Music Research Laboratory (CMRL)": Petros Vouvaris, Associate Professor, Director and Evangelia Spyrakou, Special Educational Personnel (SEP), Christina Sidiropoulou - SEP, and as external collaborators: Emmanuel Garoufallou, Associate Professor of the Department of Library, Archival & Information Studies of the International Hellenic University (IHU) and Thaleia Adelfopoulou, musicologist - new researcher.

Special thanks are due to Kyriaki Balta, librarian, in charge of the Digital Library "Psifida" of the Library and Information Centre of the University of Macedonia and to Efstratios Karatzidis, computer scientist, Special Technical Lab Personnel (STLP), for their cooperation and their contribution to the development of the "Local Repository of Music Ontologies (TAMO) - PAMAK".

In the digital library of TAMO – PAMAK, metadata and digital documents of 110 musical works created by 72 Greek composers concerning the double bass can be found, divided into three main collections: Concertos (15), Solo Works (23) and Chamber Music (72).

Through the semantic enrichment of the metadata of the musical ontologies of the collection and the interconnection of content from electronic sources, such as: VIAF, Wikidata, Wikipedia, Discogs, Musicbrainz, YouTube, etc., TAMO-PAMAK collects a multitude of entities, such as: concepts, musical categories and genres, musical works and different manifestations and versions, persons and institutions, places and venues of events, press releases, posters and programs, as well as audiovisual music material (discography/recordings/videos).
